Deprez deed kandidatuur politieke en sociale wetenschappen, en licentiaat vergelijkende cultuurwetenschappen. Hierna deed hij toneelschool aan het conservatorium. Hij werd vooral bekend in Vlaanderen als panellid van het Canvas-programma De Rechtvaardige Rechters. In 2002 schreef hij voor de 700e verjaardag van de Guldensporenslag de theatertekst "De weliswaar lichtelijk ongelooflijke doch volledig waargebeurde historie van Verlorenbrood" In 2003 won hij Humo's Comedy Cup. In 2005 won hij de finale van de televisiequiz De Slimste Mens ter Wereld van Erik Van Looy. De vorige winnaars van deze quiz waren Alain Grootaers, Stany Crets en Bert Kruismans. Deprez' grote voorbeelden zijn Woody Allen, Alex Agnew, Hans Teeuwen, Wim Helsen, Neveneffecten, ... Jacques Brel en Johnny Cash bevallen hem ook. Hij schreef bewerkingen in het West-Vlaams van Brels "Ne me quitte pas" ("Meug nie weggoan nie") en "A boy named Sue" van Johnny Cash ("Ne jongne genoamd An").

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
