She debuted on television as the protagonist Clara in Fascinação (1998), standing out throughout her career for her antagonists, such as Lili from Meu Pé de Laranja Lima (1998), Clara from Laços de Família (2000), Dóris from Mulheres Apaixonadas ( 2003), Alice from Páginas da Vida (2006) and Mariacarla from O Tempo Não Para (2018).  Biography  Born in Santo André, in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo , she is the daughter of sales supervisor José Monteiro Alves and housewife Maria Aparecida Lima Alves. As a child, she participated in poetry competitions and dance festivals at school, always placing first. In her early teens she became interested in having an artistic career. [ 3 ] [ 4 ]  Career  His dream of working in performing arts and fashion began at the age of thirteen, when he began to invest in his artistic career. After winning beauty contests, she began acting as a photographic and catwalk model . During this time she became the star of advertising campaigns, television commercials and magazine covers . [ 5 ]  At 17, still wanting to have an artistic career, even though she had just passed the entrance exam and was studying Social Communication , Regiane started attending a theater course in São Caetano do Sul , a city close to Santo André.  In 1996, she went to live alone in Rio de Janeiro , where she attended Rede Globo 's Actors Workshop for six months , but she failed the test for the soap opera Malhação , and even though she was sad, she didn't give up on being an actress. She returned to her parents' house in Santo André , but after three months she decided to live alone in São Paulo . She chose to stop studying Social Communication, which was closed, and started studying Advertising , but she did not complete the course, and continued on the theater course to try to get into a soap opera one day. At that time, she was already traveling around the country acting in plays. [ 6 ]  In 1998, Regiane passed a test, and made her first soap opera , Fascinação , with a starring role, on SBT . She was highly praised, convincing television critics that she could do other soap operas and would have chances for growth. [ 2 ] The actress, upon passing the test, was surprised, since the soap opera was originally made to be shown in Mexico due to an agreement between SBT and Televisa , and Regiane thought she would have to live in the country while recording the show. novel.
