Ximena Flores Fregoso, born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, is a Mexican Filmmaker. She is a graduate of the Bachelor's Degree in Audiovisual Media and Filmmaking at Centro de Arte Audiovisual CAAV in Guadalajara, Jalisco. She is the co-writer and co-director (alongside Juan Carlos Palazuelos Covarrubias) of the short film “Beyond the Waves: The Ballad of Alba”, starring Ariel Award-winning actress Mayra Batalla and Stana Carrillo, and featuring the voice of legendary actress Angélica Aragón. She has worked as First Assistant Director in several short films such as “Leave The World Behind” (Encarnación, Grimaldo, 2024) and “Who is Andrea Morales?” (Encarnación, 2025), as well as in the award-winning official music video for the song "Séptimo" by French singer Agathe, directed by Anne-Sophie Charon. She has also worked as Second Assistant Director in short films like “La recuperación” (Colina, 2026) and “Alone” (Esquivel, 2025) and she served as Production Manager on the short film “Eclipse” (Ruiz, 2026).
