Partho Paulinews Folia was born on 23rd May, 1997 in Bangladesh. He passed his college life in Notre Dame College. From his childhood he was interested in a creative field. At the age of 10 he started learning several graphical software's like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator to express his creative thoughts and imagination through his manipulations. Gradually, he developed his knowledge in many other softwares and most of his work was based on computer. He always tried to find his identity and his passion so he also learned visual effects and computer programming. As he was attracted to arts, though he found his new passion in Photography. Some of his early photography was exhibited in many Exhibitions. At a very early age he gained popularity. After learning framing, composition, color management and depth of visual arts, He became more interested in doing extra-ordinary which was beyond the box. He thought to express his feelings, his stories through his film so he started making short films. He won many International Awards for his short film named Silence he directed many wonderful short films like Insomnia, Maybe or maybe not, Till the End. Recently he directed a musical film for Gaanchill Music named Opekkha which gained him popularity.

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
