At just 17 years old, Sophie Fergi has become one of the world's most influential teenagers, amassing over 9 million followers across platforms. She is an actor and content creator, Sophie has been sharing her passion and creativity with the world for most of her life.  She is best known for her role as Zaria in Brat TV's viral series Charmers where she starred as a series regular for two seasons. Initially working as a background actor for Brat TV's comedy series Mani, Sophie was quickly promoted to a series regular playing the fan-favorite character named Goth Girl. Due to the success of her role, Brat TV brought her back to star in their now-hit series Charmers where she worked as a series regular for two seasons.  In 2018, Sophie started her own YouTube channel, which has accumulated over 132 million views and 1.6 million followers in just four years. Thanks to the support of her fans, whom she adoringly refers to as "Tophenators," Sophie has been allowed to collaborate with several exciting brands and content creators and participate in panels at popular conventions, Vidcon and Playlist Live. In 2020, Sophie was able to share her passion for fashion with her supporters by releasing her clothing line titled Live Forever More, a tribute to her late grandmother.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
