Ryan Grainger, a Montreal native, is a Los Angeles based creative director, choreographer and dancer currently signed to McDonald Selznick Associates (MSA). Ryan has over a decade of professional experience, working regularly with many of the industry's top choreographers, international artists and world renowned productions. After a brief professional run in Montreal, his career took off in 2014, upon moving to the United States. Since then, he has built a long list of credits, traveling the world touring and performing in live shows, music videos, commercials, as well as TV and Feature Film productions. One of his many career highlights includes booking a role as a Warbler on sixth season of the hit TV show Glee (Fox).  Television and Film Credits include: Julie and the Phantoms (Netflix), Soundtrack (Netflix), Lucifer (WB), Sandy Wexler (Netflix) , American Crime Story: People vs O.J. Simpson (FX), The Voice (NBC), Boyband (ABC), Cirque Du Soleil, Teen Choice Awards , Mtv Video Music Awards, Much Music Video Awards, D&G Milan Fashion Show, Let’s Make a Deal (CBS) & Vidcon. Major recording Artist Tours, Live, & Music video Performances Include: Ricky Martin (One World Tour), Meghan Trainor, Rita Ora, Jessie J, Gwen Stefani, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, Maluma, Down With Webster, Patrick Bruel, Betty Who, Amei (Utopia World Tour) & Leroy Sanchez. Ryan was the assistant choreographer alongside director and choreographer Jamal Sims and RuPaul Charles for the new Las Vegas residency: RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! Ryan has also recently worked for two seasons as the Creative Director for the international talent competition show Pequeños Gigantes which airs on the networks Televisa & Univision. Most Recently, Ryan was the choreoagrapher for Canada's Drag Race Season 2 Tour which toured across Canada during the summer of 2022. Currently, Ryan is working as the Choreographer for the international World Tour: RuPaul's Drag Race Werq The World. This world renowned tour has 83 shows across Europe, the United States and Canada.

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
