A work in constant progress (and occasional regress).
Eric Ibarra has worked as a cinematographer, director, and producer on feature films and commercials for Amazon, Intel, Guitar Center, Netflix, BET, and more. His work has taken him around the globe and, with his camera, into challenging, rewarding, and breathtaking stories. An accurate and updated crew credit list is available on his website. Eric began his career as an actor with a BA in Theater Studies: Acting & Directing from Emerson College in 2014 before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television. From 2016 - 2024, based out of Los Angeles, Eric directed five and produced 11 ultra-low budget independent feature films (less than $150K), learning the art of filmmaking through passionate, hard work in a variety of departments, styles, and crews. In his parallel timeline, his passion for all things camera grew his cinematography career as he lensed national commercials and photographed additional feature films for other directors and some of the world's biggest comedians in intimate documentary work and arena stage performance capture. In 2025, returning to the Boston area, Eric's approach to his career was met with a classic 21st-century artist's re-understanding of identity that we are, in fact, "humans first, crew members second," and life beyond set is crucial to both his development as an artist and as a person that hopes to live a fulfilling life well into his later years. Moving forward, he hopes his work reflects character-driven narratives that improve an audience's understanding of themselves. He is available for international cinematography work on documentary, commercial, or narrative projects.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
