Born in the Philippines in 2000, Carl Joseph Lara is a writer/director/editor. He graduated with a degree in Fine Arts majoring in Cinema from the University of San Carlos, Cebu. His student documentary short film, KAHAYAG SA KANGITNGIT (2021) won the Shorts Jury Prize and Audience Choice Awards at the BINISAYA Film Festival and was exhibited in local film festivals. He explores psychoanalysis, cultivating his keenness on the themes of humanity and the mind while transcending folkloric elements. His stories forefront the minorities such as individuals with mental disabilities, the LGBTQ community, women, and children. He is currently the community director of BINISAYA Film Festival.

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
