Victoria Volkova (b. 1992)

Alias:
Victoria Volkóva
Victoria Vólkova

Birthplace:
Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico

Born:
November 28, 1992

Victoria Velázquez was born on November 28, 1992 in Santiago de Querétaro, in the state of Querétaro. According to what she herself said, since she was a child she knew she was a woman in a man's body, so she even confessed that she did not feel comfortable with her reproductive apparatus, which caused her repulsion.  At the age of 18 she got involved in the world of YouTube, where she took the name Victoria, later she met a transsexual girl with the same name, who served as her mentor and advised her to begin her transition.  It was until 2019 when she finally underwent sex reassignment surgery in Thailand. It should be noted that it was on YouTube where she shared her entire transition process to reaffirm her female gender.  The model has a career in fashion design, although she later began to give makeup tips, lifestyle and personal anecdotes on her social networks. After being discovered, she had the opportunity to collaborate with several brands such as MAC and LEVIS, she is an ambassador for Jean Paul Gaultier in Mexico, and has her own fragrance, which she launched with AVON.  Victoria is also an activist for the LGBTTTI+ community and women's rights.  This has made her one of the most important influencers in Mexico in her generation and probably the most prominent influencer and model of sexual diversity in Mexico.  It is worth mentioning that Volkóva was the first Latin American trans woman to appear on the cover of the prestigious Playboy magazine.  In the field of entertainment she has participated in some plays, in 2020 she participated in the short film Traviatas, along with other prominent Mexican trans women such as activist Samantha Flores and singer and actress Morganna Love; however, her debut in cinema came with the film Sexo, pudor y lágrimas 2.  Source: https://www.radioformula.com.mx/entretenimiento/2022/2/4/sexo-pudor-lagrimas-quien-es-victoria-volkova-la-actriz-trans-que-sale-en-la-pelicula-501458.html

About the Movie Section

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.
  • If you would like to correct movie data on this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's corrected on their site, it should soon be corrected on this site.
  • For additional corrections and profile removals, please e-mail The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
