Lachlan Stitt, also known by his nickname "DEADSHOT," is an Australian professional MMA fighter who has made a name for himself in the welterweight division. With a pro-MMA record of 2-1-0 (win-loss-draw), Stitt has showcased his skills and determination inside the cage. Born on January 24, 2000, in Mackay, Queensland, he developed a passion for combat sports at a young age.  Stitt's fighting journey began with Karate at the age of six, which he pursued until the age of twelve. He then transitioned to playing football for a couple of years before finding his true calling in MMA when he was fifteen. Since then, he has dedicated himself to the sport, continuously honing his craft and refining his technique.  Trained under the guidance of head coach Mohamed Mousalli, also known as Coach Moey, along with Nathan Reddy and Zein Saliba, Stitt has developed a unique fighting style that combines the strengths of notable UFC fighters Jon Jones and Lyoto Machida. His striking accuracy and ability to finish fights with precision earned him the fitting nickname "DEADSHOT," bestowed upon him by his head coach.  In addition to his in-cage accomplishments, Stitt gained widespread attention for his participation in the highly successful documentary "Fighting Demons," directed by Mitchell Bulfin and Dylan Bokaris. The documentary shed light on his journey as a fighter and garnered significant interest within the MMA community, bringing more visibility and recognition to Stitt's talent.  As he continues to climb the ranks of the Australian and New Zealand welterweight division, Stitt aims to make waves in the Eternal MMA promotion. His immediate goals include working his way up the rankings, securing notable victories, and showcasing his explosive fighting style. With a purple belt in Jiu Jitsu under Zein Saliba and several state titles, including one in kickboxing and an MMA state title, Stitt has already proven his mettle as a combat sports athlete.  Looking toward the future, Stitt aspires to earn a shot at the UFC, the pinnacle of MMA competition. With his dedication, drive, and undeniable talent, he envisions a bright future in the sport and hopes to represent Australia on a global scale. Stitt's fans and supporters can expect nothing less than violent and decisive performances whenever he steps inside the cage, always aiming for a knockout or TKO finish.  Lachlan Stitt made his professional MMA debut on May 7th at Eternal 65, where he faced JayJay Te Huia. With his captivating presence and impressive skill set, Stitt continues to captivate audiences and leave an indelible mark on the MMA landscape.

About the Movie Section

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.
  • If you would like to correct movie data on this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's corrected on their site, it should soon be corrected on this site.
  • For additional corrections and profile removals, please e-mail The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
