Born in Cheboksary, Chuvashskaya ASSR, RSFSR, USSR. Ballerina. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (10/21/1977). People's Artist of the Chuvashia ASSR (1980). People's Artist of the RSFSR (04/28/1982). People's Artist of the USSR (12/13/1984). Born into a large family, her parents are ethnic Chuvash. At the age of 7, she began studying in a choreographic circle at the House of Pioneers. In 1966, she was noticed by a commission from the Perm Choreographic School, which came to Cheboksary in search of gifted children, and Nadya was offered to study in Perm. For seven years, from the 2nd grade until graduation, Nadya Pavlova studied with Lyudmila Pavlovna Sakharova, whose methodology combined the Moscow and Leningrad schools of classical dance with new trends that emerged in the late 1960s. After graduating from college in 1974, she became a soloist at the Perm Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Tchaikovsky. Since September 1975, she has been a soloist at the Bolshoi Theater. Her constant partner throughout this decade has been Vyacheslav Gordeyev, who became her husband. She studies daily in Messerer's class and masters roles under the guidance of Semenova. From 1992 to 1994, Nadezhda Pavlova was the artistic director of the Nadezhda Pavlova Ballet Theater, and in 1995, the Renaissance Ballet. She was a member of the jury of international ballet competitions in Luxembourg (1995) and Hong Kong (1996). In 1999, she took part in the opening of the Russian Cultural Center in Washington, and became a laureate of the Stars of World Ballet festival in Donetsk. In 1998-1999, she performed as a guest star in performances of the Russian Ballet troupe. In 2000, she was a teacher-repetiteur at the GITIS ballet theater under the direction of Akhundov. Since 2009 - choreographer-repetiteur at the State Academic Theater of Classical Ballet under the direction of N.D. Kasatkina and V.Yu. Teaches at the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (RATI) (professor). She is the youngest artist to bear the title of People's Artist of the USSR (awarded at the age of 28).

  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
