At a young age, Eric told his family that he wanted to go to Hollywood someday. He decided to attend West Virginia University where he honed his craft, studying and perfecting the Stanislavski Technique. He performed in many stage plays, commercials and voice-overs In West Virginia and Pennsylvania. After college he returned to New York, and studied for several years under Richard Scanlon, who taught with Stella Adler. He is also studied on camera commercial acting with Angela Montalbano. Eric performed in THE BLACK BOX THEATRE at MUSICAL THEATREWORKS off Broadway in New York City. He also continued doing voice-overs for the Mayor's Office on Crosswalks Television. In addition to acting, Eric found another passion doing production work. Working with a small production company, he went to Hollywood to give a script to Joe Pesci, who they thought would be perfect for their independent film. Pesci did not take the role, but the experience taught him many important lessons. Eric took an associate producer role in a documentary, CREATURE FEATURE: 60 YEARS OF THE GILL-MAN. Eric's friend and Emmy winner, Keith David was brought on to narrate the film. Academy Award winner, Benicio Del Toro shared his love for the Creature along with many others. His first on-screen break was a co-starring role in REX (2008) with Alan Ritchson, Daniel Roebuck and Duane Whitaker. He continues to work on many short and feature films. He has won awards, been nominated and attracted worldwide acclaim in festivals around the world. He is well known for his passion, dedication and love for all aspects of film making. When he is not acting and producing, he is spending time with his family.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
