Stephen Presley is a multi-award winning Producer & Director. He has been labeled as a creative force on the rise in the industry after spending many years learning the art of production and music composition to earn a living in Los Angeles. Born Feb. 6th, 1983 in Brevard, North Carolina. A Unique directing style and genuine persona has drawn interest throughout the industry landscape. He was a part HBO's Game of Thrones S.8 cast and crew to give the production his best efforts for several months. The result was one of the most visually stunning and largest battle sequences in cinematic history. 2019, was spotted in a supporting bit role in Starz series "Dublin Murders", and his role in New York International Film "Pistolera", in which he acted with Danny Trejo, Robert Davi, and Damian Chapa. He hit the screen with not only his skills as a producer, but also his ability at the last second to memorize and portray his role with power. In February 2019, he directed a concept sizzle called Kaia and won world wide acclaim. 2020 IFS Los Angles Film Festival winner, 2 time winner of Accolades Award of Merited Excellence by writing/directing/producing/and Acting. He has accumulated over 30 festival wins and nominations in just over a couple of years. His Documentary "Pandemic" was created as a challenge to himself. He wanted to make a 'Zeitgeist' like film on shoe string budget with only one crew member. This opposed to the luxury of all the creative minds and help a studio set can provide. He won multiple awards and has world wide distribution for Pandemic. "Pandemic: the people, the conspiracy, the journey" can be seen on TubiTv.com and in the USA and will be released also on most popular platforms in 2021. "The amazing thing about his work is how he can tell the story. He's not a normal person watching something, he seeing all, everything the whole world, he is telling the story and can project emotion and evoke emotions in which his audience can connect. His mind just connects all the dots and creates a coherent narrative that has that "it" factor, whatever that is... he has it." Presley is part owner of Virtue Media Capital, Grindhouse Pictures, and AmadeuX Productions. He is involved with many high profile projects with his business partner in which they are very excited about. These films will be publicly announced in 2021.

About the Movie Section

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.
  • If you would like to correct movie data on this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's corrected on their site, it should soon be corrected on this site.
  • For additional corrections and profile removals, please e-mail The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.

Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
