Paul Rapovski, is an entrepreneurial film and TV producer, actor and a video-game mo-cap action specialist who first came into the international film and television arena by building on his reputation as a highly respected fight and stunt director. Paul established a home base in Hong Kong before becoming a bona fide marquee star in Pacific Rim (and world stick-fighting champion). As a result of his renown in the region, he established important pre-sales and financing relationships in Hong Kong, China, Singapore and then Europe. Paul is regularly brokering high quality international relationships at key film and TV markets, assisting for example, in bringing German equity funding to the first season of the Starhunter TV series. In the video game world, Paul provided all the mo-cap action aspects of Microsoft and Silicon Knights on the much anticipated new XBOX 360 game Too Human, the first in a trilogy, is to be released in 2007. Paul and his partner Plato Fountidakis own FAST Motion Studios a unique mo-cap shooting studio unlike any of its kind in Canada and one of only a few in the world. Paul's pre-eminence in stunt direction led to close relationships with actors and directors of major action genre pictures, including such titles as: Bulletproof Monk, and Steven Tung's The Hitman starring Jet Li, as well as Li's "The Enforcer" and Vin Diesel's Chronicles of Riddick. Paul worked with Jackie Chan on "Thunderbolt" and Extreme Challenge, also directed by Steven Tung. His series credits include "Mutant X", for Tribune, the second season of Relic Hunter, "John Woo's Once a Thief", and "The Famous Jett Jackson" (Seasons 2, 3 & MOW). Paul's internationally renown F.A.S.T. action and stunt team has provided the action elements of Microsoft / Silicon Knights new premiere video game "Too Human".

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
Whether or not he still clings to an award which he won in 1986 as a film critic for his college's newspaper, Jeffrey Hartmann is not responsible for the texts of overviews and biographies supplied by external data sources.
