César Cienfuegos began making fiction and documentary short films under the influence of Pedro Costa and Glauber Rocha, then he coordinated filmmaking in the circle of film studies with the University of Lima, until 2019 when he participated in a national contest and traveled to the jungle Amazonian for an experiential cinema workshop with the Amazonian Film School, at the end she co-created a documentary story of a healer with the support of Alexander del Pueblo - Shipibo and with Doña Lichi, who gives the title to the work and is a Kukama descendant. kukamiria, also co-founds the Bishu Cine Cultural Association, inspired by the Ambulante Más Allá film school, which is dedicated to facilitating the making of cinematographic works even in the most vulnerable towns.  The film Reminiscencia was written and directed by Cienfuegos César in 2018, part of his experience with the entire filmmaking team of the 2018 Film Workshop, it received good reviews, it premiered internationally at the International Human Rights Film Festival and is part of the traveling exhibition in various regions of Latin America.

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
