Montreal, Quebec, Canada

February 22, 1991

In less than five years, Jake Bass has become one of the leaders in the current generation of gay porn stars, amassing an enormous following that has made his impact difficult o miss. The star’s introduction to the industry came by way of a solo video for Canadian-based company, Squirtz. A decision sparked by a recent break-up and a desire to tests his own boundaries, little did he know of the major life change that would come after his appearance on the site.  Following his work with Squirt, he took a liking to porn and linked with Video Boys. But nothing made his splash grander than the exclusive contract that he signed with CockyBoys in 2011. Personally approached by the studio’s CEO, Jake Jaxson, Bass’ addition to the roster attracted overwhelming attention from fans who couldn’t’ get enough of his bad ass tattoos, juicy bubble butt and charmingly carefree attitude. Performing in top and bottom roles, his movies garnered Bass massive popularity and was often considered the face of the company. After a three year ride, he announced his peaceful departure from CockyBoys in 2014 and revealed that he had begun new projects with Men.com.  The undeniable success that Bass discovered through his XXX work also opened opportunities for him in modeling, marked by his ventures with Pump! Underwear and WRKDEPT. He also graced the cover of GT Magazine, the UK’s largest mainstream gay publication. While he has expressed no signs of quitting the industry just yet, Bass has stated that is interesting in pursuing more modeling and acting in the future as well as stepping behind the camera as a producer.  Interesting Facts  *To balance his househould name states, Bass says that he keeps himself grounded by staying close with his family, friends and dog, Romeo. *He created his name as a combination of a nickname of his real name and the Chuck Bass character in Gossip Girl, inspired by his ex-girlfriend (relax, fellas—he doesn’t wish to label himself but is attracted to both sexes) who was a fan of the book series. *His major influences are his mother and actors James Franco and Joseph Gordon Lewitt  Award Nominations  *2013 Grabby Awards: “Best Newcomer,” “Best Actor,” “Hottest Bottom” and “Web Performer of the Year”

About the Movie Section

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.
  • If you would like to correct movie data on this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's corrected on their site, it should soon be corrected on this site.
  • For additional corrections and profile removals, please e-mail The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
