A work in constant progress (and occasional regress).
Alias:
Sweet Cherrie
Birthplace:
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
is a French-Canadian female professional wrestler currently competing under the name Sweet Cherrie. She is currently a regular performer for the Quebec-based NCW Femmes Fatales promotion. Lacasse debuted for NCW Femmes Fatales as a babyface under the name Sweet Cherrie on June 5, 2010 at Femmes Fatales III, losing to Kalamity in a first round match to crown the first-ever NCW Femmes Fatales Champion. Cherrie lost again at Femmes Fatales IV to La Parfaite Caroline, but she would get her first victory against Kellie Skater at Femmes Fatales V on March 12, 2011. At Femmes Fatales VI on June 4, Cherrie was defeated by Anna Minoushka. Cherrie would begin a feud with Portia Perez after both competitors lost a three-way match to Tomoka Nakagawa at Femmes Fatales VII, which included a one-on-one victory over Perez at Femmes Fatales VIII on March 10, 2012. At Femmes Fatales IX on July 7, Cherrie teamed with Cherry Bomb to form "The Cherries" in a losing effort to Perez and her Canadian Ninjas partner, Nicole Matthews, in a #1 Contender's Match for the SHIMMER Tag Team Championship. After the match ended, Cherry Bomb turned heel and attacked Cherrie; blaming her for the loss. This led to a one-on-one match between the former partners at Part 1 of Femmes Fatales X, which Cherrie won. At Part 2, Cherrie gained a DQ win over Saraya Knight after Knight delivered a low-blow. On July 6, 2013, Cherrie had an opportunity at the NCW Femmes Fatales Championship, losing to Mercedes Martinez at Femmes Fatales XII. At Femmes Fatales XIII, Cherrie teamed with LuFisto in defeating Mercedes Martinez and Cheerleader Melissa in a No DQ tag team match. On June 16, 2012, Cherrie appeared for Women Superstars Uncensored's Uncensored Rumble V as a villainess in a losing effort against Kalamity for the NCW Femmes Fatales Championship. On October 27, 2012, Cherrie made an appearance for SHIMMER Women Athletes, losing to Angelus Layne in a dark match at Volume 49. The following day, Cherrie and Kira defeated December and Heidi Lovelace in a dark match at Volume 51.
Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
