Habieb Naseer, a Film Writer, Producer & Director by Profession.  Indian Film made a deep indelible impression on his psyche and thus was determined to engross himself in the nuances of Film Making.  To learn and experience the craft, he joined D. Rama Naidu Studios (Suresh Productions), one of the biggest production houses in the world and the heartthrob of Film making in various languages.  Being well versed in languages like Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, and English, it becomes easy for him to be busy to the core in the formative years and essay various roles of filmmaking with numerous esteemed Directors.  In this process, he worked with Dr. Ramanaidu, Satish Kaushik, Boney Kapoor, Vasu Bhagnani, D. Suresh Babu, Yogesh Ishwar, etc., and did Films like ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain’ (Anil Kapoor & Kajol), ‘Hamara Dil Aap Ke Paas Hai’(Anil Kapoor & Aishwarya Rai), ‘Aaghaaz’ (Sunil Shetty & Sushmita Sen), ‘Mujhe Kuchh Kehna Hai’ (Kareena Kapoor & Tusshar Kapoor), ‘Badhai Ho badhai’ (Anil Kapoor & Shilpa Shetty), etc.  Became Independent in the year 1998 and formed his company, “ Telecine Inc. Productions” in 1999.  In order to put his personal stamp that cuts across films, genres, and decades, he started by Directing Ad Films, Serials, Documentaries, and Feature Films.  Till date, Habieb has Directed 03 Feature Films, 42 Ad Films, 3 Serials, and 29 Documentaries. The Popular among these are Bhoot Bhaijaan (Hindi Feature Film), Maamu Tension Nai Leneka (Hindi Feature Film), Deal (Aithey Enty-Telugu Feature Film), Ninu Choodaka Nenundalenu (Telugu) (Feature Film), Sansani Kheiz (TV Serial for ETV Urdu), Kurnool Floods (Documentary).  Apart from films, Habieb Naseer has been associated with print media as a freelance journalist, and during this time, articles have been published in “Siasat” Daily, “Munsif“ Daily, “Rahnuma e Deccan” Daily, “Awami Eqtedaar” Weekly.  Habieb ventured into electronic media in 2008 and started a news channel called "Urdu TV" and worked as managing director of Urdu TV till 2014, started "T TV Urdu" with the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana state in 2015, and continued to serve as CEO and executive editor of T TV Urdu till 2021.  He is currently working as CEO & Editor of “MUNSIF TV” a leading Satellite Urdu News Channel in India.

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
