Evan Duran was born in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico as David Esteban Duran Beltrán, is a singer, musician, composer, music producer and video director. He has participated as director and producer of MC Yazmin: Cada Momento Que Paso Contigo (2016), Amezk: Por Siempre A Mí (2017), Mc Sony: Dame Una Oportunidad (2017) and SH: Soñar (2017).  Duran is the son of parents of Mexican nationality, when his parents were already divorced, from a very young age he discovered his taste for music, because when he was 4 years old his mother took him to live with his new partner , who had a descendant of musicians in his family, which he took as a motivation to put his future in music.  Duran composed his first song at the age of 9, which he wrote for a girl he liked, remained composing songs for 1 year and then retired temporarily to return to his studies. When he turned 13 he decided to enter as a composer and at the same time to continue his studies, he has never presented his subjects to other artists, because he thinks that what he writes, should be interpreted only by him, although he would like to collaborate with other authors, at the age of 15 founded his record label Duran Bros. Records previously (Duran Music Entertainment).  Duran is a young man who considers himself very passionate in everything he does, sports, photography and painting, he is currently continuing his studies to finally be able to finish them and dedicate himself completely to all those projects he has goal.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
