Osama Rezg is a director and producer. He holds a master’s degree from Bilg University in Turkey in cinema science and drama, and a grant from the British Council leader culture ship international (2009), as well as several certificates in film directing and production, most notably from London and Scotland.  He directed several commercials, documentaries, dramas, and films, including the documentary film “Al-Nayhum…The Master of Words”, which sheds light on the life of the Libyan philosopher “Al-Sadiq Al-Nayhum”.  In 2008 Rezg directed a comedy series “On the air”, participated in directing the drama series “Kol Youm Hkaia” (Every day a story), and then directed several professional international advertisements, most notably the Italian Lavazza coffee advertisement  Then, Rezg emerged in the world of directing with a series of dramas, one of which was the series “Phobia”, which achieved high viewership and received many Arab and local awards. He then directed the drama series “Dragunov” and the short film “The Random”, which participated in more than 20 film festivals and won the Oasis Award from the Gabes Film Festival and the Best African Film Award from the Arts Festival in Cameroon  He directed several successful works of drama, including "Phobia" (2013), "Dragunov" (2014), and "The Random" (2013), a short film that participated in over 20 film festivals and garnered several awards. He continued to create award-winning series such as "Rubik" (2017), "Zankat Arreh" (2019), and "Azza'imain" (2020).  Rezg's first full-length feature film was "Al-Baroni" (2021), depicting the life story of Libyan fighter Suleiman Al-Baroni. That same year, he directed the series "Ghassak" and was the executive producer for "Zankat Arreeh- Part Two." In 2022 and 2023, he directed the historical series "Assaraya."  Rezg's accomplishments have not gone unnoticed; in 2021, he was selected as one of Libya's 40 most influential figures under 40. As ART Production Company celebrated its tenth anniversary, it is recognized as the leading production house in Libya and the Maghreb. This is in no small part due to Rezg's effective management, relentless work ethic, and high standards of production, which have garnered praise from Arab celebrities who participated in the company's productions.

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
