A work in constant progress (and occasional regress).
JULIE BERGHOFF (Production Designer) collaborated with Nick Stoller for the second time on "Neighbors", starring Zac Efron, Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne. She previously designed Stoller's film, "The Five Year Engagement." Berghoff's work will next be seen in the upcoming HBO project "Olive Kitteridge". Directed by with Lisa Cholodenko, "Olive Kitteridge" was produced by Playtone Productions and stars Frances McDormand, Richard Jenkins and Bill Murray. In 2013, Julie designed the one of the highest grossing supernatural films of all-time, "The Conjuring" directed by James Wan. "The Conjuring" was their fourth film collaboration together - Berghoff previously designed his Wan's seminal horror hit “Saw,” as well as the thrillers “Dead Silence” and “Death Sentence". Berghoff's other credits include Lisa Chodolenko's Oscar-nominated drama "The Kids are All Rights" and Bryce Dallas Howard’s directorial debut, the short film “Orchids”. Berghoff also designed Howard's most recent short film “When You Find Me.” Berghoff began her film career building models for special effects companies in Chicago. That soon let to art direction and designing the stop-motion animation Fox Television show "The PJ's," starring Eddie Murphy. Soon after, she transitioned into creating music videos and commercials, working jointly with acclaimed and prolific directors such as Herb Ritts, David LaChapelle, Jared Hess and John Hillcoat. Berghoff has since designed hundreds of national commercials for numerous Fortune 500 companies such McDonald's, Wal-Mart, Dell, All State, and Disney.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).
Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).
At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.
Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)
While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:
Regarding profile removals and data corrections:
Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
