Sanem Öge (born 25 November 1977) is a Turkish theater, film and TV series actress.  In 1994, she started her acting education at the Studio Players Acting Studio under the direction of Şahika Tekand. In the same period, she started to study at Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Department of Art History. After completing her undergraduate education, she started her master's degree in Art History at ITU but dropped out halfway through. She started her second master's degree in 2007 at Kadir Has University "Department of Film and Drama" with a focus on acting and completed it in 2009. She lived in England for a very short time and worked in an amusement park. After returning to the UK, her first job in Turkey, before acting, which was her real passion, was as a reporter for the arts page of the website "istanbul-net.com". Later, he worked as a life service reporter for Radikal newspaper. She worked as an editor and translator for publishing houses such as Alfa Publishing, Everest Publishing and Can Publishing. He wrote interviews and articles for many publications. For a long time, she carried out non-acting jobs together with her main profession, acting. Sanem Öge started her professional acting career at Studio Players. Later, she played important roles in theaters such as Ve Diğer Şeyler Group, Theater Oyunevi, Istanbul State Theater. Among the theater directors she has worked with are important names of Turkish theater such as Şahika Tekand, Mahir Günşiray, Müge Gürman, Yeşim Özsoy Gülan, Özen Yula. While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
