Walter was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois where he studied at the American Conservatory of Music, the Chicago Academy for the Arts, University of Illinois at Chicago, DePaul University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He was in a string quartet with his siblings and toured the US and played at the Cultural Center of the Philippines in Manila with Cecile Licad.  He danced with the Joel Hall Dancers for several seasons touring internationally and was a guest artist with numerous regional companies. He has been in productions of West Side Story, Miss Saigon, Guys and Dolls and many others in both Chicago and Los Angeles. He was one of the founding members in Chicago of the Asian sketch comedy group Stir Friday Night.  He is also a professional photographer and has photographed clients such as Toni Braxton, Billy Wirth, Michael Learned, Marianne Williamson, Alanis Morissette, Joe Manganiello, Owen Wilson, John Rubinstein, Bill Duke, Emo Philips, Elijah Wood, Steven Adler and Billy Ray Cyrus. He has shot for clients such as Maxim, Coca-Cola, Jockey Underwear, the Sundance Film Festival, FVM Global Magazine, Style Fashion Week LA, and Uni-Ball Pens.  He is a recording artist and has a cd of his music entitled Breathe.  His illustrations have appeared in Playboy Magazine, Face Magazine, FVMglobal.com, and numerous other ad campaigns.  He has cast, worked on and appeared in music videos for Toni Braxton, Chris Brown, Logic, Joyner Lucas, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, E-40, I Prevail, Ty Dolla Sign and many others.  Film and TV acting credits include MacGyver, Marry Me, Secret in Their Eyes, Jon Benjamin Has a Van and American Warfighter.  Produced three films in 2021: Krispr, Crisis and Killer Whales.  Currently working on several projects with Mark Labella, Joshua Lim, Petrie Willink, and many others. He is the CEO of Altamero Management in Los Angeles.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
