While Devon was serving pizza to area residents, a co-worker told her about amateur night at Al's Diamond Cabaret in Redding, Pennsylvania. The idea of being on stage, dancing nude to the music of her choice in exchange for much better wages was eminently appealing and Devon showed up to audition at the very next contest. With stars in her cards, Devon wooed the audience and walked away that night a first place winner, with the jackpot in her pocket and a new career successfully launched.  ...She danced at Al's for the next three years and rubbed shoulders with some of the adult industries biggest stars. With an enormous sexual appetite and desire for worldwide recognition, Devon filmed her first gonzo production and submitted it to a major distributor in the adult industry. ...She quickly earned cover placement with Club magazine and went on to be named Penthouse Pet in the January 2001 issue.  ...Her performances are nothing short of amazing and her productions stay on the best sellers list for months on end.  In January 2002, Devon's first project with Digital Playground, Virtual Sex with Devon received AVN's prestigious award for BEST INTERACTIVE DVD, marking the first award of her career and calling attention to Digital Playground's founder, Joone. Signing Devon proved to be a fabulous decision, Virtual Sex with Devon went on to receive the award for Best Interactive DVD from Empire and AFW, solidifying a position in Digital Playground's hat-trick hall of fame.  Upon signing the contract, Devon was immediately chosen for the starring role in Nic Andrew's directorial debut for Digital Playground. Titled for Devon's amazing performance, Devon Stripped received rave reviews from critics all over the world and took its place at the top of the sales charts. AVN magazine says, Devon shines and AdultDVDEmpire agrees, Well written, visually stunning and with a performance that should propel Devon into superstardom. ...Devon's official web site, DevonXXX.com features thousands of pictures, along with countless interviews, press clippings, video streams, diary entries and a virtual shopping experience. ...In May of 2002, Devon appeared on Stuff magazine's home page and as a guest on Playboy TV's most popular show, Nightcalls 411. ... At the same time, Penthouse magazine declared that Devon was in the running for Pet of the Year and booked her to appear in their Pet of the Year Playoff video. ... magazine also featured Devon prominently in a glowing editorial piece about Digital Playground's Virtual Sex line.  With the success of Devon Stripped fresh on his brain, director Nic Andrews created and wrote a new script expressly for Devon. ... The Bomis Babe Report says this of RUSH, Devon is the main attraction here, and once again she proves she is one of the sexiest women in the business.  With a perfect resume, a sound support system and a secure position with the industries leading technology and marketing company, the future is bright for this rising star.

About the Movie Section

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.
  • If you would like to correct movie data on this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's corrected on their site, it should soon be corrected on this site.
  • For additional corrections and profile removals, please e-mail The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
