(d. 24 Şubat 1973, Eskişehir), çağdaş Türk yazardır. 24 Şubat 1973 yılında Eskişehir’de doğdu. İlk şiirleri, Galatasaray Lisesi yıllarında Varlık dergisinde yayımlandı. Kendisine "Yaşar Nabi Nayır Şiir Ödülü"nü kazandıran "Ayabakanlar" adlı kitabı 1994 yılında okuyucuyla buluştu. 1997’de Bosnalı şair İzzet Sarayliç’le "Erguvan Balkan Şiir Ödülü"nü paylaştı. Bunu 1998 tarihli ikinci şiir kitabı olan "Akademi" izledi. Tuna Kiremitçi'nin 2002’de çıkan ilk romanı "Git Kendini Çok Sevdirmeden" büyük yankı uyandırdı ve o yılın önemli edebiyat olaylarından biri kabul edildi. 2003'te ikinci romanı "Bu İşte Bir Yalnızlık Var" ve şiirlerini derlediği "Bazı Şiirler Bazı Şarkılar" yayımlandı. 2005 yılında yayımlanan "Yolda Üç Kişi" adlı romanı da geniş bir okuyucu kitlesiyle buluşmuş ve beğeni kazanmıştır. Daha sonra da 2007 tarihli "Dualar Kalıcıdır" ile 2009'da "Küçüğe Bir Dondurma" adlı romanları yayımlanmıştır. Otobiyografik olmasa da "Küçüğe Bir Dondurma" adlı romanında, yazarın 2005-2006 yıllarında yaşadığı sağlık sorunlarının sarsıcı izlerine rastlamak mümkündür. Genellikle sıradan insanların trajedilerini, günümüz toplumundaki kadın-erkek ilişkilerinin açmazlarını ve yaşlanmanın melankolisini hüzünlü, yer yer de gülümseten bir anlatımla işlediği romanları, Profesör Gürsel Aytaç tarafından Türk edebiyatında "romantik ironi" örnekleri olarak değerlendirilmiştir (Hürriyet Gösteri; Temmuz-Ağustos 2005). Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi'nde sinema eğitimi gören, kısa filmleri çeşitli festivallerde ödüller alan Tuna Kiremitçi, 2009 yilinda ilk uzun metrajlı filmi "Adını Sen Koy"un çekimlerini tamamlamıştır. Ayrıca, 1990'lı yıllarda Kumdan Kaleler topluluğuyla Etnik Rock çalışmaları yapmış, besteci ve solist olarak bir albüme ("Denize Doğru"; 1996) imza atmıştır. Romanları beş dile çevrilen, amatör olarak muzik ve felsefeyle de uğraşan Kiremitçi, bir oğul babasıdır. Bir dönem Cumhuriyet gazetesinde yazmıştır. 11 Haziran 2010 tarihi itibarı ile Hürriyet Gazetesinde yazmaktadır.

Most data and links to images for the Movies section come from TheMovieDB (TMDB).

Additional data for Film Titles come from The Open Movie Database (OMDb).

At least one plug-in comes from IMDb.

Data are -- hey, it's a plural -- subject to the limitations of their sources. (For example, TMDB search results currently max out at 20.) I am limiting myself to free data sources for now. (No, a "free trial" is not free.)

While much of the above data are retrieved directly from outside APIs and other such sources, data from American Film Institute (AFI) and British Film Institute (BFI) were manually entered the old fashioned way into a MySQL database. Re BFI I took the following liberties:

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Regarding profile removals and data corrections:

  • If you would like your profile removed from this site, please contact the source of this data directly, TheMovieDB. My assumption is: once it's gone from their site, it should soon be gone from this site.

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).

Whereas the overall purpose of this website is to serve as a personal demo/portfolio/workshop of web and data skills, this Movies section is not meant to compete with or substitute for far more definitive movie websites.
