"Dugu World: The Prophecy" is a prequel to "Dugu World: Stange Eyes". The long-dead Liu Changfeng, Dugu Xin and others in "Dugu World: Stange Eyes" are the protagonists in "The Prophecy of the Dugu World". A foreign ambassador Ye Qianyao arrives at the Ming Emperor's palace. As a tribute, he brings with him a divination prophecy that "the one who wins Dugu will win the world". A court dignitary Zuo Zhaoyi Yin and General Duguxin from Jinlinshi secret service accompany the guest during a visit to the capital. They not suspect that their ward is a capital nobleman in exile who has taken the place of the ambassador killed by the conspirators. At this time, the Emperor receives a completely different, much darker prophecy. To deal with him, he invites to the palace immortal Xianchang Xuanlongzi to interpret the prophecy.
