Tom Golden bids his sweetheart, Nell, good-bye and rides off into the hills to look for hostile Indians. Savages are discovered. Overview from Open Movies

A party of settlers emigrating westward with a wagon train to find new homes, go into camp for the night. Tom Golden bids his sweetheart, Nell, good-bye and rides off into the hills to look for hostile Indians. Savages are discovered. Nell offers to go for help, and is captured by Indians after her horse escapes. The horse, Tony, finds Nell's hat and carries it to the settler's camp, in his mouth. Tom Golden starts in search for Nell, with Nell's horse leading the way. Nell's horse, Tony, runs to the Indian camp; Nell hears him neigh and she whistles. He runs to her, and she mounts him and starts to find help.

  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).
