The hero of the film is a literary critic, Doctor of Philology, professor of the Department of the History of Russian Literature at the Faculty of Philology of St. Petersburg State University, a researcher of the life and work of Vladimir Nabokov – Boris Valentinovich Averin. Russian Russian writers, about the hidden meanings of the Russian soul and about human destiny unfold in front of the viewer the most interesting monologues about Russian writers, about the hidden meanings of the Russian soul and about human fate. Drawing pictures of the past, remembering his childhood, the hero of the film finds answers to the eternal questions of our existence there. We see Boris Valentinovich not only in an official, but also at home, which helps to reveal the image more deeply. Famous writers, publishers and philosophers – Alexander Sekatsky, Sergey Nosov, Mikhail Reizin-express their opinions about him.

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
