Performing Hiroshima

To the Window with No Signs" by Asahi Mima depicts a woman living with her partner in an apartment in Hiroshima City who meets regularly with a friend by the river to co-write poetry. Performing Hiroshima with Hiroe-san" by Saki Yamada depicts a woman who was exposed to radiation in utero about 1 km from the hypocenter when the atomic bomb was dropped, as herself, her mother, and the narrator of a life, speaking to the camera. Until the End of the Dream" by Natsuka Kusano depicts a woman who has just lost someone important to her as she deals with her "loss" and goes about her daily life. The four short stories "Wherever It May Be" by Mikio Endo follows a theater company's rehearsal of a play about Hiroshima and a young man participating in the rehearsal as a sound staff member, who collects sounds in the outdoors.

  • I added "runners up" to Top 10 lists, treating them as ties where applicable and numbering them accordingly at the bottom of each list.
  • Regarding those polls wherein "franchise" movies were submitted as one project until BFI's policy changed to regard them separately, I treated them as ties and renumbered the affected lists accordingly (e.g. the Godfather films).

Filtering is applied here to film projects flagged as "adult" by TheMovieDB. Pending "popular demand" I am contemplating a login and profile system with preferences (such as whether to allow adult images to appear) and permissions (such as data entry).
