Kusum's mother died when she was just a child and her father died when she was a teenager but left nothing for her. Her Uncles took on the task to look after her but want to marry Kusum off; but cannot pay the dowry. Kajal loves her and promised Kasum's father on his death bed that he would look after her. Kusum leaves home one night and wants shelter in Kajal's house. But Kajal's father wants Kusum's younger sister as Kajal's wife. In this circumstances, what can Kajal do for Kusum.
